About Me

Katie Lin

MA, LMHCA, CBP

Pronouns: She/Her (What is this?)

I have spent over a decade listening deeply to the stories of others. My own healing journey has led me to the firm belief that the body and mind need one another in order to heal and flourish. This is why my practice is set up to address both the mind and body through the use of therapy and BodyTalk.

I especially enjoy working with adults and adolescents (13+) around the following issues:

  • trauma

  • grief

  • women’s life cycle (fertility, perinatal issues, menopause)

  • Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and other cultural concerns

Background

I was born in Washington State and spent most of my childhood and adolescence living in the Czech Republic. Like many other TCKs (Third Culture Kids), I grew up between worlds, learning by necessity how to weave together two different languages, cultures, and ways of being in the world.

This practice of integrating and weaving together has followed me throughout the rest of my life. After a shattering trauma in early adulthood, I found healing and nourishment through experiences that put my mind and body back in touch with each other (especially theater, art, liturgical and contemplative spiritual practice, counseling, and BodyTalk).
